AQUACULTURE STUDY PROGRAM FACULTY OF MARINE SCIENCE AND FISHERIES HASANUDDIN UNIVERSITY

The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FIKP) hosted the Joint Self-Assessment Report (JOIN SAR) meeting as part of the preparation for ASIIN international accreditation for Cluster B. This activity involved four study programs, namely Aquaculture, Agrotechnology, Animal Science, and Food Science and Technology.

The meeting, conducted in an intensive academic atmosphere, aimed to align the SAR documents of each study program to meet the standards set by the international accreditation body ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics). The main focus of the discussion included curriculum development, learning outcomes, quality assurance systems, as well as supporting facilities and infrastructure.

The SAR preparation teams from each study program presented the progress of their documents while also receiving constructive feedback from the internal review team. The discussions were highly interactive, particularly in aligning assessment indicators based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), which is a key aspect of the ASIIN accreditation process.

The importance of cross-program collaboration in achieving international standards was emphasized, ensuring that the JOIN SAR activity strengthens the readiness of all study programs in facing the next stages of assessment, including the site visit by ASIIN assessors. Through this activity, it is expected that the four study programs in Cluster B will be able to produce comprehensive, systematic, and internationally compliant SAR documents, thereby enhancing the institution’s global competitiveness.
