Student Creativity Program, PKM (Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa)
Research Grant for Aquaculture Study Program (ASP) is through the national level Student Creativity Program or Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) competition proposal. Creativity is an integrative incarnation of the three main factors in humans, namely: mind (cognitive), feeling (affective), and skills (psychomotor). In the mind factor there is imagination, perception and reason. Feeling factors consist of emotions, aesthetics and harmonization. While the skill factor contains talent, physiology and experience. Thus, so that students can reach the creative level, the three factors are intended to be optimal in an activity called the Student Creativity Program (PKM).
PKM was developed to deliver students to reach the level of enlightenment of creativity and innovation based on mastery of science and technology and high faith. In order to prepare themselves to be intellectual leaders, independent and wise entrepreneurs, students are given the opportunity to implement abilities, expertise, attitudes, responsibilities, build teamwork and develop independence through creative activities in the field of study.
PKM has been established since 2001. However, new BDP students at Hasanuddin University have actively participated in the competition in the past two years. The following data are related to the BDP PKM presented in Figure 1.
Figure 1. Development of PKM for ASP Students
Based on Figure 1, it shows ASP did not submit proposals to Hasanuddin University in 2014-2016. Furthermore, in 2017 and 2018 shows an increase in BDP student research proposals prepared for national competition. In 2017 and 2018 there are 50% and 41.2% of proposals from ASP students competing at the national level and receiving research funding costs. Even though, there is a smaller percentage of PKM proposals funded in 2018 but the number of proposals submitted is greater than in 2017, which is 46 titles.
