Student Internship dan Community Service

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]ASP aims to produce graduates who have personality and the ability in scientific interaction as well as able to apply science and technology in aquaculture, with emphasis on coastal aquaculture.
Achieving these objectives is translated into the ASP curriculum by presenting courses that support the knowledge and skills of the aquaculture field, and the ability of students to communicate and socialize to the community, especially the aquaculture fisheries community. Courses to improve skills in aquaculture and student communication skills, namely student internships and student community services.
ASP student internship consists of two activities, namely internships in four ASP laboratories (Fish Nutrition Laboratory, Laboratory of Parasites and Fish Diseases, Water Quality Laboratories, and Natural Feed Laboratories) for two months and internship in aquaculture institutions and companies for one month. The implementation of the ASP student internship is carried out by students who have programmed the Student internship in the current semester, then students carry out laboratory PKLs for two months, two weeks for each laboratory. Documentation of laboratory street vendor activities is presented in Figure 1.
After completing the PKl laboratory, students continued to carry out field street vendors namely street vendors conducted by aquaculture institutions and companies including the Research Center for Brackish Water Aquaculture Research and Fisheries Extension (BRPBAP), Maros; CV. Esaputlii Benur Kita, Barru; Superior and Violent Shrimp Motherland Production Center, Bali; Brackish Water Cultivation Center, Takalar; Seawater Cultivation Center, Jepara; Center for Freshwater Aquaculture, Sukabumi; etc. Documentation of field street vendor activities is presented in Figure 2.

Student activities carried out in the Student Community Service further direct students to improve communication and adaptation skills to the community, as well as increasing students’ sensitivity to conditions that occur in society. The implementation of the Student Community Service is in the South Sulawesi and International level districts, namely in Japan and Malaysia. ASP students generally attend the Student Community service in the South Sulawesi regency area, but there are two ASP students who participate in the international level Student Community Service, namely in Japan. The student community service documentation is presented in Figure 3.
