Sex reversal or known as sex reversal, is used as a technology for increasing aquaculture production. Tilapia as one of the aquaculture organisms has a very fast reproductive system, so that it has an impact on the achievement of suboptimal growth.
The sex reversal technology is expected to be able to control the reproduction of tilapia, so as to produce 100% male tilapia with maximum growth. Knowledge regarding the application of sex reversal is of concern to fish cultivators and the local government.
The Sex Reversal Technical Guidance (Bimtek) activity was initiated by Fish Farmers, as well as the Department of Animal Husbandry, Animal Health and Fisheries of Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi, held on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at UPTD BPPBIAT Ompo, Soppeng Regency, by inviting speakers from the Study Program Aquaculture, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences (FIKP), Hasanuddin University, who is an expert in the field of sex reversal, namely Prof. Dr. Ir.
